When a verb ends in "Y" and the pervious letter is a consonant, change the "Y" to "I" and add "Es".
Example:

When a verb ends in "Y" and the pervious letter is a vowel, add "S" to the 3rd person singular.
Example:
Play - Plays

Fly - Flies.
Buy - Buys.
Cry - Cries.
Reply - Replies.
Pay - Pays.
